What is Coaching?

Coaching is a partnership between coach and client that helps the client clearly identify and articulate who they are, who they need to be, and what they need to do in order to reach their goals and maximize their potential. Coaching is not mentoring or therapy and, per the International Coaching Federation (ICF), coaching “focuses instead on individuals or groups setting and reaching their own objectives.”

The Change EdD Coaching:

 

Our coaching sessions are intentional safe spaces for clients to articulate their goals, which are aligned with the challenge or vision of change. Efforts are focused on overcoming any limiting beliefs and fears of new ways of being and/or doing and on developing self-awareness which is a foundational necessity for social awareness.  Both levels of awareness contribute to emotional intelligence which can positively influence decision-making and relationship development capabilities and, in so doing, enrich leadership abilities. Any skills that may need development or augmentation are also identified and prioritized. In addition, realistic strategies and steps are outlined for moving through the process, along with viable mitigation plans, so clients can self-support during challenging moments and hold themselves accountable for accomplishing their stated goals in their desired timeframes. Coaching support remains unwavering and available throughout the process.
